Maersk have introduced the new daily shipping service branded as 'Daily Maersk' from four ports in Asia to three ports in Europe.
To be able to run the line Maersk deployed 70 its largest vessels and bet to guarantee the arrival of a particular container with merchandise on a particular date. Any late arrival will be reimbursed to the customers.
Daily shipping means daily cut-offs and not the weekly as it was by container lines before. Daily Maersk becoming a new scale of service and hopefully the standard.
Further reports show that Maersk has in general noticeably improved their service reliability.
