Mooring at Kimolos Island with Beaufort 9 winds

Here you are the video footage of how it can be done. Though I consider it is not only the example of the master's and crew's skills in handling the ship and conducting the operations, but also that of a poor port infrastructure. No doubt the exposed pier puts such a daily necessity for the island as a ferry call into real danger. Just watch how many times off-signing and boarding passengers were at risk of being washed away.

Anyway, bravo to the crew! They must have been well run in to have all the operation coordinated under the circumstances (watch the last 4 minutes).

Cellular shipping - the shot snapped

As of today, March 18, 2013 Alphaliner estimates the world's Liner Shipping to amount to 5,925 ships active on liner trades or 16,943,189 TEU; including 4,944 fully cellular ships or 16,474,446 TEU.

Their Top 100 list of the carriers is based on the sheer TEU power of a liner company. The Top 30 is shown as following:
